Ann and I are going to put our “reputations” on the line by telling you about a FACTASTIC new restaurant that just opened here in St. Charles.  (We have no financial interest at all,, we just want it to succeed because it’s so good).

The restaurant is IsAcco Kitchen at 210 Cedar St (just north of Il 64 and Il 31.  They just had a soft opening on Friday and Ann and I have eaten there twice (one dinner, on lunch) and the “Contemporary Cuisine” is absolutely top notch.  Isacc and Tracey, the owners, have such an interesting, romantic life story (married just two years) and Isacc, the chef, has a very robust professional expertise (internationally and also here in Chicago at Charlie TROTTERS) that he brings to the kitchen.

This is the type place many of us have been longing for in St. Charles and we just wish them the best of everything.  The white-table-cloth dining room has only about twelve tables and the décor is eclectic (be sure to check out the restrooms). Ann had lamb chops and for dessert we both had “mini-chocolate soufflés”.  Today we went for lunch and spent two hours enjoying their food.  The portions are smaller than a lot of restaurants and we left both meals feeling full but no stuffed.

What can I say about that evening that will do Isacco justice?  

You are an amazing and most talented chef.  I have had the pleasure of having had dinner with you twice and I so look forward to another evening watching you with great passion for what you do so well. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation of all 10 courses was something I have never seen before. Your friendliness and humor made the evening so much fun. I can't say what food I loved the most as it was truly all good.  Watching you cook with  great ease and passion is such a gift.  

You are definitely a master of what you do.

Just a note to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for a splendid job----a tremendous feast that was perfect in every way. We hope that we can do it again. Meanwhile, have a wonderful trip to Italy and come back with lots of new recipes.
 
Separately, do you happen to have an "extra" large pot that is not part of your collection. We cannot find ours and I believe that you were using it for broth with vegetables. Please check.

My family surprised me with cooking lessons with Chef Isacco 
for my birthday. I love to cook and they thought it would be fun... 
It was the best birthday gift ever...I told my husband he doesn't have 
to buy me any more diamonds...Chef Isacco for my birthday every year!
He came over and cooked while my daughter and I ate and watched...and 
ate! The food was amazing...the experience beyond words. Chef cooks 
with such heart and feeling it was the BEST! I had tons of food 
leftover which I am still rationing out! My husband and son said it 
was the best pasta they ever had Next time we are doing fish and 
seafood!!!

Dear Chef Vitali,

The most delicious meal that was ever and probably will ever be cooked in my kitchen was the one you prepared for us. Every bite of the gourmet meal you created was outstanding. My husband and I both like a variety of foods, and we were truly impressed by your unique course choices. Though we all loved every course, we are still arguing over which course was the best! My husband insists it was the seared tuna, I think it was the mushroom risotto. 

Beyond preparing wonderful food, you made the whole night so easy and fun for me, as the host. All I had to do was sit and chat with my friends, while beautiful food was presented to us. And after it was over, my kitchen wasn't a mess! I hope very much that we will have the opportunity to have you cook for us again- it was truly a memorable and wonderful night.
